"The Green Hornet" is not a good movie, but you sense that music clip and arthouse director Michel Gondry tries has to make a original movie. The comic title with the original music from the eponymous TV series with Bruce Lee indulges in trashy '60s aesthetic. It's more fun than the two hours of film, the the credits are headed.
It's almost a guy like Konstantin Neven DuMont (played by Seth Rogan), who fell out with his father following newspaper ridiculed. The father dies, and the son becomes the superhero "Green Hornet". Unfortunately, the newspaper publishing heir an extremely unsympathetic type. A narcissistic asshole, but which - such as "Iron Man" Tony Stark - has absolutely no charm. And in the course of the film not developed. Not even the reason why he becomes a super hero is honorable: He wants to cut the evil on the mouth because he intends nothing better first and second, want to feel cool. What the strategy is to be smart, their own newspaper to incite Green Hornet (ie himself), has developed me as much as the fact that help the friendly Chinese Kato and the friendly smiling Cameron Diaz to puke. The film would have been better would be the main character was really KND.
It is obvious that it should be thrown with the supposedly ambivalent character a new and original perspective on the superhero genre. But I could not dock at the main character. And certainly not because Green Hornet is going very brutal. Constantly thrashes the superhero his opponents (like sometimes accidentally) dead or shoots them down. This has been bothering me in their "Kick-Ass": Should a superhero does not embody decency and morality? Or at least try? Super heroes, who enjoy their opponents turn rivets are mass murderers - the opposite of what they should be. Many people may filmmakers that the kids of today can accept just killer as a hero - because they supposedly caused by computer games you kill are used to.
I do not think so. It is there for a reason why to this day figures such as Batman, Spiderman or the X-Men are consistently popular. Gondry's Green Hornet will be in ten years probably forgotten.
will hopefully be forgotten, the 3D-disease that even this Film is affected. Who will like me, that the effect does not look real, the image makes it unnecessary darker and less defined, for in movement makes interfering smears and often blurred effect, can read why this is so.
